You Can Write a Children’s Book This Summer!
Who Me?
Yes! You!
You have an idea for a children’s story, but you have some questions...
Is my language age-appropriate? Will my plot make sense to a child? Is my story too preachy-teachy? Will it hold a child’s attention? Is it funny? Is my story relatable? ...
These are all important questions that Sylvia will answer when you attend her
Children’s Storybook Summer Sessions
Brush the cobwebs off your book idea and bring it to the weekly storytelling sessions, where you will learn how to write a story that children will enjoy.
Each week, we will focus on one part of the 5-step storytelling strategy that Sylvia has outlined for you. You will receive helpful feedback and instructions in a small-group setting.
By the end of the sessions, you will have polished your very own storybook for children! It will be ready to print and share, submit to a publisher or a writing contest, or share with an illustrator. (No more collecting dust in the drawer!)
Once you’ve learned how to master storytelling for children, imagine all the other books you will write!
